EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — The first thing the Giants were told about their preseason opener was it was going to be against the Eagles.
But if you have a team with a winning record against the Giants and the NFC East’s second-worst defense, and that’s a pretty big deal, you have to figure that there’s some sort of chance this team is going to get beat.
It wasn’t pretty.
Eli Manning threw three interceptions and the Giants fell behind 24-0 in the second quarter, then Eli threw a touchdown pass to Odell Beckham on fourth-and-one to give them a 24-14 lead and set up a game-winning field goal with 2:19 to play.
It was a game the Giants would win in double overtime, but that’s not a guarantee.
It just means they’ve got to keep playing, which is what they’ve been doing all week.
“It’s just not easy to play them,” Giants coach Tom Coughlin said.
This was a team that’s had its ups and downs all season, with all sorts of issues, but at least the Giants are getting a chance to start playing against the NFC’s second worst defense. “
But we’ve also got to play hard, and we’ve been playing hard.”
This was a team that’s had its ups and downs all season, with all sorts of issues, but at least the Giants are getting a chance to start playing against the NFC’s second worst defense.
The Giants lost a close game to the Eagles last week, and they played well against the Jets and Falcons but not well enough to win, which was why they’re playing the game against the team with the worst record in the NFL, and one that’s already been to the playoffs.
This game started with the Giants playing well enough that they were in first place.
Now they’re in second place.
It’s going to take a little while for the Giants to find their groove.
Eli said it’s a big deal that they haven’t lost yet, but it’s not as important as it should be.
“That’s why it’s important,” Eli said.
The Eagles were a big reason why, and the Eagles are still a big team.
They have a great defensive line, but they also have a really good quarterback in Carson Wentz, who’s been in a lot of games and is still learning.
But Wentz is a very good passer, and Eli knows Wentz well.
Wentz had two touchdown passes and a pick in the first quarter, and his other touchdown pass came on the Giants’ first drive of the game, when he ran up the sideline and threw an 8-yard touchdown pass that was blocked by cornerback Byron Maxwell.
But the Giants had a chance early in the fourth quarter, with a short field, a few steps away from a big gain, and Wentz dropped the ball, and then Maxwell got him for the touchdown.
Eli was sacked twice and had a sack and two hits on Wentz.
The game was tied 24-24 after the Giants took over in the third quarter.
But with the game tied and the defense having their best performance of the season, the Eagles drove to the Giants 10.
They scored on a 2-yard run by Brandon Marshall, and it was a 3-0 lead.
But Eli Manning made a throw to tight end Dwayne Harris and Harris got tackled, and there were six penalties.
The fourth quarter was bad.
The defense kept pushing and drove into the Giants 13, and finally, with 3:56 to go, Wentz threw a 13-yarder to Evan Engram for the score.
But when the Giants got a big fourth-quarter drive, Eli threw an interception on the next drive.
The play was tipped, and Brandon Marshall caught it and ran into the end zone, giving the Eagles a 17-17 lead.
Eli had a long TD pass to Andre Williams with 6:57 to play in the game.
But that’s the problem with this team.
The team is having a great season.
But it’s been a long year.
There’s a lot to unpack, and this is what we know.
Eli has had some rough games, too, but not all of them have been as bad as this one.
But you’ve got a lot riding on this game.
This is the Giants team to beat.
They’re going to win if they play hard.
They beat the Falcons, who were playing without running back Devonta Freeman, and in doing so, they beat the Giants.
But in doing that, they have to be better.
It won’t be easy.
And this team needs to be much better.
They’ll have a chance against a better Eagles team, who is one of the best in the league, at home.
And the Giants have a shot against the Falcons at home, too.
That’s where they’ll have to win.
The Falcons won their first game of the preseason, against the Panthers, which put them ahead of the Giants by more than a touchdown.
They also beat the
