Virginia Tech is scheduled to face Virginia at the Citrus Bowl on Saturday, Dec. 6.
The Hokies are 2-1 against the Cavaliers this season, but are coming off a season in which they went 0-7 against them.
This will be the third meeting between the teams in the Bowl Game, which Virginia won in 2015.
This game will also mark the third time in as many years that Virginia Tech will play Virginia Tech, which won the bowl game in 2020.
The first time was in 2011 when the Hokies defeated the Cavaliers in Charlottesville, VA.
Virginia Tech was also scheduled to play against Clemson at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in Atlanta in 2017, but the game was postponed due to Hurricane Irma.
The ACC tournament schedule is released this week.
Virginia has yet to play in the ACC tournament.
The Cavaliers have not played in the tournament since 2017, losing to North Carolina State in the second round and then beating Duke in the first round in 2018.
Virginia’s next ACC tournament game will be played on Thursday, Dec, 21, when it hosts North Carolina in Raleigh, NC.
