The #OklaStateFootball team has earned its first opportunity to face the #1 ranked Oklahoma Sooners in the #AACFreshmanOffensiveChampionship game.
The #OkstateFB announced Saturday night that the team will play at the #5 and #6 seeds in the first round of the tournament.
The first game of the series will be at 1:30 p.m.
ET on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2018, at the Cotton Bowl.
Oklahoma won the 2017 Cotton Bowl game, 51-43.
Okla State defeated #3 Oklahoma, 48-48, in overtime in the 2016 Cotton Bowl in Norman, Okla.
Okstate won the 2016 NCAA Tournament championship and has won the NCAA Championship in each of the past three seasons.
Oklahos head coach Mike Gundy is 6-1 in his career against Oklahoma, including 4-0 in the series.
The next two games will be played on Saturday night at the Oklahoma State-Oklahoma Sooners game, with a tip-off scheduled for 3:30.
Okstelin, who was a member of the 2017 squad, will receive a first-team All-America nod.
The rest of the #OkStateFB squad will be announced on Saturday.
